In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Sand Creek. Just can't get enough of Kock Lake. Koch Mountain is delightful and can be made out from Kock Lake, and Schumaker Campground is a fine local campground. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Bitterroot Range rules! If you need a place to stay Best Western Hamilton Inn is a nice choice; going for a hike       along the Ward Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range. On a pleasant day at Kock Lake you can take a hike along the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail, unsurprisingly you could also visit Lost Horse Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. The slopes of Lost Trail are so inviting noone can resist, and a magnificent close by                  hotel is Townhouse Inn of Hamilton. While you're here at Kock Lake you can take a hike along the Trapper Peak Trail, and a lake nearby is White Lake. Kock Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; January is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. White Sand Creek is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Kock Lake; why not camp at Bear Creek Pass Campground while you're here at Kock Lake. During the days of summer at Kock Lake highs are typically in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Kock Lake are in the 10's.
