Kneaves Lake is commonly a reasonably waterless place; throughout the month of June you get the most rain around here while October is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A good location to camp here at Kneaves Lake is Cutoff Gulch Campground, and the Hogback Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. Don't leave Kneaves Lake without first going for a hike along the Quigg Peak Trail; camping       at Burnt Fork Campground is always a pleasant experience. The summit of Palisade Mountain can be made out from Kneaves Lake, and a nice nearby hotel is Best Western Hamilton Inn. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Kneaves Lake. There's good hiking along the Butte Cabin Ridge Trail, and after a long day outdoors Townhouse Inn of Hamilton is a good place to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Kneaves Lake regularly                  tend to be in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's.
