The beauty of Knaack Lake is reason enough to stop by. You can take a little visit to Sears Dam if you're here at Knaack Lake, and hiking along the Sweeney Ridge Trail is great fun. Any time is a good time at Knaack Lake if you go for the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Ward Mountain Trail; Knaack Lake is a great place to camp, Schumaker Campground is a great place. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Knaack Lake, you'll hit upon Aichele Lake which is a beautiful lake, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of White Sand Creek. So many fun things to do here in the Bitterroot Range, too great to be true. After a long day outdoors Townhouse Inn of Hamilton is a good place to spend a night or two; camping
at Knaack Lake is good fun, Blodgett Canyon Campground is a good local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A fine nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Hamilton. An average amount of rainfall falls at Knaack Lake; January is the wettest
month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Lost Trail, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Big Sand Creek.
