A lake close by is Akokala Lake; the Boulder Pass Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. Be careful coming to the Lewis Range, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you came to camp Mud Creek Campground is a brilliant site to do that, and Long Bow Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. Flathead River - Middle Fork is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Kintla       Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Akokala Lake Trail. There's so much to do here at Kintla Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kintla Lake Campground is a wonderful location for that; great skiing awaits you at Big Mountain. The Lewis Range scenery is always beautiful. Be careful coming to Kintla Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. On a delightful day at Kintla Lake you can take a hike along the Numa                  Ridge Lookout Trail. Kintla Lake gets very little precipitation; December is when you get the most snow here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summer months at Kintla Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's.
