There's no way someone can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Lakes? Sure, Big Foot Lake is around here. La Velle Lake is a splendid lake in close proximity to Kid Lake; going for a hike on the Republic Trail is always a nice adventure. You just must go for Kid Lake. There are tremendous places to discover along the Pilot Creek Trail; if you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers       some pleasant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Kid Lake without first going for a hike along the Crazy Lakes Trail, and camping at Chief Joseph Campground is always a fine experience. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Stillwater River, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Big Timber. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Kid Lake get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 30's. Through the winter highs                  are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kid Lake. So many fun things to do in the Absaroka Range, not sufficient time. The peak of Big Mountain can be observed from Kid Lake; Kid Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Colter Campground is a good local campground.
