Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Pioneer Mountains. There are other spots here than Kelley Reservoir, for example Twin Lakes; if you come at the right time of year, Beaverhead offers some wonderful whitewater. All the outdoors exciting things in the Pioneer Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. The Driveway Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Kelley Reservoir that       you need to camp here for a while, Dinner Station Campground is a magnificent site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Kearns Basin is right here at Kelley Reservoir, and why not have a look at Kelly Dam if you're here. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things close to Kelley Reservoir. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Best Spring, and Bear Gulch is another tremendous site to pop by close by. This lake is one of the great places                  here in the Pioneer Mountains. Kelley Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Aspen Campground is a brilliant local campground, and a nice nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Dillon. Through the warm months at Kelley Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Kelley Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Cat Creek; Kelley Reservoir is right by the Gold Creek Trail. Kelley Reservoir is generally a pretty dehydrated place; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
