There's magnificent hiking along the Old Musselshell Trail, and Kachia Reservoir is a splendid site to visit for more than one day, James Kipp Campground is a splendid site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Kachia Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Wilder Trail, and       you'll find a picturesque lake called Kosier Reservoir. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not go to Harri Reservoir right next door to Kachia Reservoir. Through the summertime here at Kachia Reservoir, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Kachia Reservoir through the wintertime typically sink                  into the 0's.
