The Elk Mountain National Recreation Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Jumbo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a brilliant neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Hidden Lake is a lake close at hand, and camping is available at North       Campground. Kristianna Mountain Homes is a tremendous location to get some rest, and a pleasant place to camp here at Jumbo Lake is South Campground. If the weather is splendid here at Jumbo Lake, you can go for a hike along the Fort Steele Trail, and swing by Summit Creek it's a great location to stop at. Around Jumbo Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here, and March on the other hand is the driest. Jumbo Lake in fact                  is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Soar down the rapids of Sunday Creek in a kayak. Lakes are great; Blue Lake is a lake that's near Jumbo Lake. High temperatures at Jumbo Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
