    Do stop by Jumbo Lake while you're in this part of Montana. While you're here at Jumbo Lake you can take a hike along the Wapiti Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Big Sky Resort is a great choice, and a tour to Jumbo Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Hoodoo Cascade. At Jumbo Lake you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the  
   least moisture.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Jumbo Lake has to offer, you can camp at Castle Rock Inn. Lakes are nice; Lava Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Jumbo Lake. A great close by hotel is Rainbow Ranch Lodge, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Bozeman. Through the months of summer at Jumbo Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime
 
               highs during the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Jumbo Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. There's so much to do here at Jumbo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elkhorn is a good site for that, and hiking along the Divide Trail is pleasant fun. Here at Jumbo Lake you can catch a glimpse of Jumbo Mountain, and Moonlight Basin is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Gallatin River is so much fun, and obviously, this is a glorious neighborhood for people who like lakes, Cascade Lakes is a lake around here.
Head up to Big Sky and strap some skis to your feet; you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Eldridge Trail.
