Throughout the warm days of summer at Johnson Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Johnson Lake are in the 10's. Any time is a fine time at Johnson Lake if you like the outdoors. Really fine skiing awaits you at Blacktail Mountain, and get wet paddling on Flathead       River - Middle Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Rv Timbers Park, and golf can be played at Eagle Bend Golf Club. This spot is unbeatable, just check out all the enjoyable things to do near Johnson Lake. Big Fork Dam is not far at all from Johnson Lake, and going for a hike along the Alpine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Johnson Lake is a spot with many visitors from Kalispell, and lakes are such serene places,                  why not explore Plummers Lake. Bigfork Campground is a splendid campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Best Western White Oak Grand is a great location to spend a night or two. If you need a spot to stay Bad Rock B&B is a pleasant choice, and the Jimmie Ridge Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. If time allows, Glacier National Park is a national park worth checking out, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Doris Creek Trail. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Swan River; there are other spots here than Johnson Lake, for example Amy Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Long Beach is a beach right next door to Johnson Lake that you can have a look at; you are next to Bigfork Harbor since you're here.
