John Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You're perhaps keen on lakes, Swimming Lake is one of those close by, and the Doris Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. Beautiful Lake Blaine Resort is a good campground nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Alpine Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at John Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Kalispell, and John Lake is right by the Columbia Mountain Trail.

John Lake really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. There's whitewater on Flathead River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline kick people, and if you crave a little side visit, try Brown Gulch. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in the vicinity of John Lake has to offer. Take a little visit to Brown Creek while you're here at
John Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Glacier Park Super 8 Motel is a brilliant choice. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Blaine Resort Campground is a great spot to camp, and Mountain Crossroads Restaurant & Golf Club is
a golf course close by. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at John Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's,
and night lows in the 10's for John Lake.
Looking for something right next door to John Lake? Cree Lake is in close proximity; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Swan River. Dry warm beds await you at Bad Rock B&B, and Glacier National Park is a wonderful site nearby.
