    If you are in Flathead county it's always a good idea to stop by John Lake. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Drift down the rapids of Swan River in a kayak. There's so much to do here at John Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Blaine Resort Campground is a fine site for that. Mountain Crossroads Restaurant & Golf Club is a great golf course nearby, and if you came to camp Beautiful Lake Blaine Resort is a delightful place to do that. Not  
   much precipitation falls here at John Lake; during June this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February.
High temperatures at John Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for John Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flathead River - Middle
 
               Fork, and going for a hike on the Doris Creek Trail is always a great adventure. There's some flowing water nearby, Brown Creek is a stream you can stop at while you're here, and if you need a place to stay Bad Rock B&B is a good choice.
Jessup Mill Pond Dam is a beautiful place in the neighborhood of John Lake, and since you're here why not check out Brown Gulch. A short trip to 28N20W23BABC01 Spring is always worthwhile, and don't leave John Lake without first going for a hike along the Columbia Mountain Trail. John Lake in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Looking for a glorious tour? Glacier National Park is pretty next to John Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A fine nearby hotel is Glacier Park Super 8 Motel; if you've had enough of John Lake, Amy Lake is close by. Here at John Lake there are plenty of people from Kalispell; there are great places to explore along the Alpine Trail.
