While you're here at Jasper Lake you can take a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail, and here at Jasper Lake you can spot Lonesome Mountain. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Jasper Lake; June is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is October. Through the summer at Jasper Lake highs are generally in the 70's. For the duration of the       dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Jasper Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and hiking along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail is glorious fun. Be careful coming to the Absaroka Range, you might not ever wanna return back                  home again. Going for a hike along the Beauty Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and you'll stumble on a gorgeous lake called Golden Lake. That right there is lots of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Absaroka Range has it all. Clarks Fork Yellowstone River is a magnificent whitewater spot right next door to Jasper Lake, and do take a look at Silver Tarn, it's a delightful lake. Beartooth Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Red Lodge Mountain, and Jasper Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Top Of The World Campground is a good location to camp nearby.
