So many cool things to do here in the Lewis Range, too perfect to be true. Camping at Monture Creek Campground is always a great experience, and Bandy Reservoir Dam is not far at all from James Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Blackfoot River, and going for a hike along the Dunham Lodgepole Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. While you're here at James Lake you can take a hike along the Center Ridge       Trail, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Blackfoot River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. This place is great, just explore all the exciting things to do near James Lake. If you're here at James Lake, you could stop by Lost Creek; camping is available at Russell Gates Memorial Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at James Lake, you can go for a hike along the Dunham Trail; Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a good                  place to get some rest. For the period of the months of summer highs here at James Lake reach the 80's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at James Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. At James Lake you don’t see much precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is generally the driest month. James Lake is a beautiful lake in the Lewis Range. All year is a nice time in the Lewis Range if you love the outdoors.
