Just can't get enough of Jackstraw Lake. There's great hiking along the Ole Creek Trail; you can stay the night at Summit Campground. Two Medicine Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; it's a tremendous idea to go to Debris Creek. You absolutely have to adore the Lewis Range. There are other sites here than Jackstraw Lake, for example Lena Lake, and drift down the rapids of Bear       Creek in a kayak. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the Lewis Range. The Buttercup Park Trail offers hiking at its best; paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork is so much fun. Jackstraw Lake is right by the South Shore Trail; Firebrand Pass is in the neighborhood, and is a brilliant location. Jackstraw Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Aster Park if you're here at Jackstraw                  Lake; lakes are such calm sites, why not check out Ole Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Bridge Street Cottages, and a good panorama of beautiful Bearhead Mountain is available. Jackstraw Lake is pretty dried up mostly; the wettest month of the year is frequently June, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the summertime months at Jackstraw Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's.
