There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Camping is available at Pine Grove Campground, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stillwater River. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Going for a hike on the Bozeman Trail is always a good adventure; Rosebud Creek - West has       a good whitewater paddling spot close by. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is bountiful here in the Absaroka Range. Some of the water close by flows, like East Fishtail Creek, naturally you could also have a look at Twin Lakes if you're here; it's not far at all. Don't leave Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail; if you've had enough of Island Lake, Heart Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the                  Black Butte Trail, and scenic scenery and pleasant skiing is what you obtain at Red Lodge Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Emerald Lake Campground is always a great experience, and Fishtail Butte is a peak you can see from Island Lake. It is very dry here at Island Lake frequently; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest of the months is February. High temperatures at Island Lake during the summertime months are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, generally in the 50's.
