Surprise Hill is a peak you can spot from Island Lake, and a lake nearby is Betts Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you get bored of Island Lake, you could also pop by close by Lynch Lake. There's so much to do here at Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Logan Park       Campground is a delightful place for that. Island Lake gets very little rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is March. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Slimmer Creek Trail, and if you need a spot to stay Kristianna Mountain Homes is a pleasant choice. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Island Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs                  in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Island Lake are in the 10's. Island Lake is right by the Meadow Ridge Trail.
