A delightful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Bozeman, and Palace Butte Campground is a great campground nearby. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Bridger Bowl; there are other spots here than Hyalite Reservoir, for example Palace Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hyalite Reservoir is a spot with many visitors from Bozeman, and great hiking is available along the Red Rock Trail. You simply have       to stop at History Rock while you're here at Hyalite Reservoir. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellowstone River; Blackmore Campground is a perfect local campground. At Hyalite Reservoir you don’t see much rainfall; May is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime at Hyalite Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's while overnight lows are                  usually in the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hyalite Reservoir are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Hyalite Reservoir, you'll locate Blackmore Lake which is a charming lake; whitewater paddling is delightful on Gallatin River. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. There's wonderful hiking along the Pole Gulch Trail, and why not take a little journey to Blackmore Creek while you're here.
