Crescent Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and the skiing at Bridger Bowl is good. Throughout the months of summer here at Hyalite Reservoir, high temperatures generally reach the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Hyalite Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. At Hyalite Reservoir you always meet someone from Bozeman. | | Reservoir, and going for a hike on the Red Rock Trail is always a nice adventure. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Hyalite Reservoir has it all. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellowstone River. There's so much to do here at Hyalite Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Palace Butte Campground is a nice spot for that. It is very dry here at Hyalite Reservoir | |

frequently; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful places to explore along the Pole Gulch Trail, and
if you need a location to stay Western Heritage Inn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Blackmore Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out. You'll need more than a day to explore everything
Hyalite Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Blackmore Campground. Very wonderful water scenery is available at Middle Creek Dam right next door to Hyalite Reservoir, and History Rock is an interesting thing to catch a sight of while you're here. A great close by hotel is Imperial Inn; whitewater paddling is great on Gallatin River.

Bridger Bowl

Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs.
