     The top of Mount Chisholm is easily made out from Hyalite Lake; you need to take a look at Arch Falls Natural Bridge if you're here. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling close to Hyalite Lake is Mulherin Creek. Do stop at Twin Lakes close to Hyalite Lake, it's a pretty lake; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Red Rock Trail. A pleasant visit to Horseshoe Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon, and if you're here, you could also have  
   a look at pretty Fridley Lakes.
Dry warm beds await you at Imperial Inn; nearby you stumble on the Pole Gulch Trail which is a great hiking trail. At Hyalite Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Hyalite Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hyalite
 
               Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Blackmore Campground is a good spot to camp nearby; there's some flowing water nearby, Maid of the Mist Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay.
Hyalite Lake is frequently a pretty arid site; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Hyalite Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Alpine Falls; Western Heritage Inn is a pleasant spot to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Hyalite Lake. Palace Butte Campground is a brilliant local campground, and you can run the rapids of Yellowstone River.

Incredible expert only skiing is available off Bridger's new Schlasman's Chairlift and on the renowned ''Ridge.'' Skiers and snowboarders who wish to ride the new lift or access this terrain, collectively known as Ridge Terrain, must have an avalanche transceiver (457 kHz). It is strongly recommended to have a partner, a shovel and expert skiing abilities in addition to knowledge of the terrain before venturing into the area which will have no hazard markings, no grooming and no marked trails. Ridge Terrain contains numerous steep chutes, rock cliffs, and snowfields which may end in unmarked cliffs.
