The top of Mount Chisholm is easily made out from Hyalite Lake; you need to take a look at Arch Falls Natural Bridge if you're here. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling close to Hyalite Lake is Mulherin Creek. Do stop at Twin Lakes close to Hyalite Lake, it's a pretty lake; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Red Rock Trail. A pleasant visit to Horseshoe Basin is a delightful way to spend an afternoon, and if you're here, you could also have

| | a look at pretty Fridley Lakes. Dry warm beds await you at Imperial Inn; nearby you stumble on the Pole Gulch Trail which is a great hiking trail. At Hyalite Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Hyalite Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Hyalite | |

Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Blackmore Campground is a good spot to camp nearby; there's some flowing water nearby, Maid of the Mist Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay. Hyalite Lake is frequently
a pretty arid site; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Hyalite Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Alpine Falls; Western Heritage Inn
is a pleasant spot to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Hyalite Lake. Palace Butte Campground is a brilliant local campground, and you can run the rapids of Yellowstone River.
