Through the summertime months highs here at Hungry Horse Reservoir reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with       temperatures at Hungry Horse Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Hungry Horse Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Lewis Range. Beta Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and a brilliant close by hotel is Glacier Park Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. A fine place to camp here at Hungry Horse Reservoir is South Lion Lake Campground; Abbot Bay is quite close. A lake close by is Lion Lake, and why not take a refreshing                  hike along the Alpine Trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the Lewis Range. You're sure to run into some smiling people from Kalispell here; hiking is a popular thing to do around Hungry Horse Reservoir; Doris Creek Trail is a good local trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Alpha Creek, and what would a location like Hungry Horse Reservoir be without interesting nearby highlights like Devils Elbow.
