This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. For the period of the summertime here at Hub Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Hub Lake during the winter generally plunge into the 10's. Do take a look at Mary Lake close to Hub Lake, it's a charming lake, and Ward Peak is a peak you can make out from

Don't leave Hub Lake without first going for a hike along the Storm Peak Trail, and if you came to camp Silver Dollar Inn Campground is a perfect location to do that. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - St. Regis, and a golf course nearby is Trestle Creek Golf Course. and St. Joe River is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. All year is a good time in the Bitterroot Range if you go for the outdoors. Hazel Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Lookout Pass.

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho. These ski adventurers would hop off the railcars at the summit and utilize a highway storage shed as a warming hut
