Montana has many beautiful lakes and Howard Lake is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Libby Divide Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and camping at Howard Lake Campground is always a perfect experience. The annual precipitation here at Howard Lake is about average; through November this area sees the most rain while July is usually the driest month. Howard Lake is a beautiful lake in the Cabinet Mountains.

| | Having a good time in the Cabinet Mountains is simple. While you're here at Howard Lake you can take a hike along the Lake Creek Trail, and pretty scenery and great skiing is what you get at Turner Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Libby; camping is available at Lake Creek Campground. For the duration of the months of summer here at Howard Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. You can run the rapids of Vermilion River in the vicinity of Howard Lake, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a great view of Midas Point from Howard Lake. Hiking along the Teeters Peak Trail is wonderful fun, and don't forget to take a good little visit to Howard Creek.
