Go to Horseshoe Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Horseshoe Lake. If you need a location to stay Livingston Super 8 Motel is a great choice. Horseshoe Lake is commonly a relatively waterless location; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more enjoyable things to do in the Absaroka Range.

| | You must beyond doubt dedicate some time to Ellis Basin since you're here at Horseshoe Lake, and the Sidehill Trail is a good hiking trail close by.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder River - West; camping at Falls Creek Campground is always a pleasant experience. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Big Beaver Campground, and hey, Grouse Creek is a great local stream. This lake is one of the great places here in the Absaroka Range.

If you come at the right time of year, Boulder River offers some great whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Murray Hotel. At Horseshoe Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the
50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Horseshoe Lake through the winter usually sink into the 10's.
