Not much rainfall falls here at Horseshoe Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near Horseshoe Lake is Swan River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western White Oak Grand is a good location to spend a night or two. This       lake is so wonderful. Flathead Valley is right here at Horseshoe Lake. Lakes are great; Estes Lake is a lake that's next to Horseshoe Lake. There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Outback Montana RV/Tent Campground is a good place for that, and let's not forget Johnson Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Horseshoe Lake get into the 70's, and                  the nighttime is slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows through the winter for Horseshoe Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. One of the best things about Horseshoe Lake is its proximity to Long Beach, and the Wolf Creek Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close by. This location is great, just explore all the enjoyable things to do close to Horseshoe Lake. Near Horseshoe Lake you hit upon the Peterson Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail; Bridge Street Cottages is a brilliant spot to get some rest.
