Horseshoe Lake is a location that is reasonably dried out generally; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily June, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. The Peterson Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and nothing beats kicking back at Long Beach. Be careful coming to Horseshoe Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Getting to Johnson Creek from       Horseshoe Lake is trouble-free; there's great hiking along the Wolf Creek Trail. Outback Montana RV/Tent Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and paddling on Swan River is so much fun. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western White Oak Grand, and the smiling folks of Kalispell like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Bridge Street Cottages is a tremendous place to get some rest, and Horseshoe Lake is right by the                  Noisy Creek Notch Trail. Woods Bay Marina and RV Park is a perfect local campground, and Flathead Valley is right here at Horseshoe Lake. Summertime highs at Horseshoe Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
