The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Horseshoe Lake with overnight lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Horseshoe Lake. Horseshoe Lake is mostly a reasonably dried out site; the wettest month of the year is generally May,       that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. Horseshoe Lake is not the only spot nearby, Clark Canyon Reservoir is a nearby lake, and camping is available at Fishing Access Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Barretts Park Campground is always a good experience, and there are plenty of folks from Butte-Silver Bow here at Horseshoe Lake. On a magnificent day at Horseshoe Lake you can take a hike along                  the Hidden Pasture Trail, and obviously Middle Fork Gallagher Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent vista of beautiful Gallagher Mountain is available from Horseshoe Lake, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Beaverhead. Just can't get enough of Horseshoe Lake.
