Going for a hike on the Carlton Lake Trail is always a great adventure, and Charles Waters Memorial Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Through the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Holloway Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while Holloway Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. If you want a tremendous       time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. Fort Fizzle Campground is a great local campground, and there's whitewater on Kootenai Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Holloway Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; at Holloway Lake you can catch a glimpse of Pyramid Buttes. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, stop at Meadow Creek while you're here at Holloway Lake, and if you need a site                  to stay Lolo-Days Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain is a tremendous choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There is a great hiking trail near Holloway Lake called the Mill Creek Trail; if you've had enough of Holloway Lake, Bass Lake is close by. Not much rainfall falls here at Holloway Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Missoula/Brooks Street. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range.
