Hilltop Lake is a beautiful lake in the Absaroka Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff close to Hilltop Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pilot Creek Trail, and Hilltop Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Colter Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. Hilltop Lake gets very little rain; through May this area sees the most rain while February       is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Hilltop Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Hilltop Lake dip into the 0's. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stillwater River. Lakes? Sure, Dick Lake is close at                  hand. There are other places here than Hilltop Lake, for example Companion Lake, and Mount Fox is scenic and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Big Timber is a glorious place to spend a night or two; Hilltop Lake is right by the North Crandall Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone in a kayak, and you must beyond doubt stop at Alp Rock while here. So much cool stuff to do in the Absaroka Range, not enough time.
