What a nice lake Hilgard Lake is. Camping at Hilgard Lake is tremendous fun, Beaver Creek Campground 1 is a tremendous local campground, and a nice close by hotel is West Fork Cabins & Rv. Through the warmest time of the year at Hilgard Lake highs are usually in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Hilgard Lake. And

| | that's not all you can do here at Hilgard Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hilgard Lake; Wapiti Creek Trail is a glorious local trail, and you should absolutely dedicate some time to Hilgard Basin while you're here at Hilgard Lake.

is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is January. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is magnificent at Big Sky, and paddling on Madison River is so much fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at
Rock Creek Campground if you're here at Hilgard Lake. Lakes are brilliant; Avalanche Lake is a lake that's right next door to Hilgard Lake, and great hiking is available along the Cutoff Trail. There's great hiking along the Lightning Creek Trail, and float down the rapids of Madison River in a kayak.
