Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn WEST YELLOWSTONE is a good spot to spend a night or two. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hilgard Lake while night lows are mostly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter
are normally in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Hilgard Lake during the wintertime mostly drop into the 10's. There is a brilliant hiking trail right next door to Hilgard Lake called the Wapiti Creek Trail; in the event that you
don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Madison River. Hilgard Lake is pretty dried out commonly; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month is January.
