If you wish for a little side trip, try Beer Straight Gulch, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Brazil Pack Trail. Comfort Inn Butte is a delightful spot to get some rest, and Blacktail Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. High temperatures at High Service Reservoir during the summertime are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's.       High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at High Service Reservoir are in the 0's. High Service Reservoir is usually a pretty arid spot; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you came to camp La Rue Mountain View is a delightful place to do that; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Billy Johns Trail. If the weather is gorgeous, you                  get a nice panorama of Big Butte from High Service Reservoir. Lakes are perfect; Moulton Distribution Reservoir is a lake that's near High Service Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Eddys Motel is a nice choice, and do put some time aside to spend at Baker Spring since you're here at High Service Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at High Service Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Butte Koa Kampground is a magnificent site for that, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Hole River. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at High Service Reservoir.
