Hiking is a popular thing to do around High Pass Lake; Upper Granite Loop Trail is a great local trail. High Pass Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is October. So many entertaining things to do here in the Absaroka Range, too nice to be true. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River,       and Beartooth Lake Campground is a perfect campground nearby. There's whitewater on Rosebud Creek - East for all you adrenaline junkies, and a lake close by is Sky Pilot Lake. All year is a pleasant time in the Absaroka Range if you like the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Clay Butte Trail, and at High Pass Lake you can make out Medicine Mountain. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at High                  Pass Lake. There's perfect hiking along the Beartooth Highlakes Trail, and you can stay the night at Top Of The World Campground. What would a place like High Pass Lake be without out of the ordinary close by characteristics like Hopper Glacier, and High Pass Lake is not the only place close by, Two Bits Lake is a close by lake. Summertime at High Pass Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to High Pass Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Red Lodge Mountain while you're here.
