In Montana there are many beautiful lakes, High Lake is one of them. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Bitterroot Range will keep you coming back over and over. Why not camp at Schumaker Campground if you're here at High Lake, and at High Lake you can see Canyon Peak. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff near High Lake. Camping is available at Blodgett Canyon Campground, and do take

| | a hike on the Saint Mary Peak Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Angler's Lodge, and High Lake is right by the Ward Mountain Trail. The yearly rainfall here at High Lake is about average; January is when you get the most snow here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bitterroot Range. Get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Big Sand Creek, and since you're here, you could | |

also explore picturesque Lomo Lake.
Summertime highs at High Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for High Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Lost Trail. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Trapper Peak Trail, and pleasant water scenery is available at High Lake Dam near High Lake.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend White Sand Creek, and if you need a place to stay Remlc's City Center Motel Annex is a tremendous choice.
