Near Hermit Lake you locate magnificent places like Rabbit Gulch; Super 8 Big Timber is a glorious place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do close to Hermit Lake. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Stillwater River, and Hermit Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Hells Canyon Campground is a brilliant       local campground. Hermit Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. So much fun stuff in the Absaroka Range, just astonishing. Hermit Lake is not the only place close by, Lake Pisce is a close by lake, and don't leave Hermit Lake without first going for a hike along the Lodgepole Trail. On a lovely day you acquire a vista of Two Sisters from Hermit Lake, and a lake nearby is Lake Vengence. Not much rainfall falls here at Hermit Lake; of all the months                  in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hermit Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Hermit Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. There's whitewater on Boulder River for all you adrenaline rush seekers; hiking is a popular thing to do around Hermit Lake; Thunderer Cutoff Trail is a delightful local trail. This lake is so wonderful.
