Get yourself into a kayak and hit Gallatin River, and a wonderful close by hotel is Arrowhead. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Eldridge Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and Lake Solitude is a nearby lake that you could stop by. You can distinguish Blaze Mountain from Hermit Lake, and the slopes of Moonlight Basin are so inviting nobody can resist. Campground is a splendid place for that. This lake is so wonderful. During your spree to Hermit Lake you'll meet some folks from Bozeman for sure, and if you need a spot to stay Beaverhead is a great choice. Go for a hike on the
Lightning Creek Trail. Hermit Lake is pretty dry mostly; most of the rain falls through May, and February is when it's the driest. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Hermit Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer nighttime
lows fall down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Hermit Lake are in the 10's.
