The beauty of Hermit Lake attracts many people from all around. You can run the rapids of Gallatin River in the neighborhood of Hermit Lake, and if the weather is delightful, you acquire a tremendous view of Blaze Mountain from Hermit Lake. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Hermit Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. already, but it goes on; Hermit Lake has it all. If you came for an overnight stay Red Mountain Campground is a good location to camp, and get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Madison River. This is a glorious
vicinity for folks who like lakes. Margo Lake is a lake around here; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Moonlight Basin is pretty near. After a long day outdoors Arrowhead is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and why
not camp at Castle Rock Inn if you're here at Hermit Lake. Go for a hike on the Eldridge Trail, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Bozeman. This lake is so wonderful. The Spanish Peaks is one of the things that make Hermit Lake so glorious, and a day on the slopes of Big Sky is just what you need.
