    Why not stop by Hermit Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. A nice site in the vicinity of Hermit Lake is White River Pass, and there's whitewater on Flathead River - South Fork for all you thrill seekers. It is very dried up here at Hermit Lake regularly; most of the snow falls through January, and July on the other hand is the driest.
Summertime highs at Hermit Lake typically tend to be in the
 
   80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Hermit Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. On a wonderful day you obtain a sight of Red Butte from Hermit Lake, and the Chinese Wall Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. That right there is a heap of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Lewis Range has it all. You could also stop by Diamond  
               Lake while you're here at Hermit Lake; it's nearby, and nearby you come across the Haystack Mountain Trail which is a great hiking trail.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Lewis Range. This lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Hermit Lake is South Fork Campground, and if you've had enough of Hermit Lake, Prisoner Lake is nearby. And that's not all you can do here at Hermit Lake. Going for a hike on the Ahorn Creek Trail is always a good adventure, and camping is available at Straight Creek Campground.

...with a good climb after the pass to My lake. 3 days from Silvertip to My lake gave us time to hit the Chinese wall / Larch Pass on the 3rd day. 26 miles +-. My Lake is warm, has frogs and supposedly leeches. The mule deer think it is a petting zoo. Got quite windy and cool. We saw 18 mountain goats on the wall. 1 young Grizzle, 2 black bear cubs, 4 people, a few white tails, 10 mule deer on the journey.

We came back down to silvertip via Wall creek which is on the list to be cleared. Last fall horse tracks in mud like concrete, lots of blow downs on upper 2 miles of wall creek. When cleared this would be a decent trail. I would not recommend going to my lake up wall creek, Juliet creek, to larch hill pass, one steep up hill grind.
Bungalow mountain trial looks like it hasn't been traveled in years. We may still be up there if we had went that way.
In my opinion. I have seen Hoop creek and yes it is a nice creek but I sure wouldn't put it into a ''flowing'' water or floatable catagorie! And I wouldn't call spo...
