High temperatures at Hermit Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hermit Lake. Not much rainfall falls here at Hermit Lake; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. There's so much to do here       at Hermit Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Fork Campground is a pleasant site for that, and a fine spot to go to close by is White River Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flathead River - South Fork, and here at Hermit Lake you can spot Red Butte. Hermit Lake is located in the Lewis Range. What a spot this is for outdoors people. There's wonderful hiking along the Ahorn Creek Trail; don't leave Hermit Lake                  without first going for a hike along the Haystack Mountain Trail. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is plentiful here in the Lewis Range.
