In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you       can always go whitewater paddling on Madison River, and pleasant hiking is available along the Cutoff Trail. Go for a hike on the Kirkwood Trail; don't forget to take a wonderful little journey to Beaver Creek. Hebgen Reservoir gets very little rainfall; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. At Hebgen Reservoir you can catch a sight of Boat Mountain. Madison River has a great whitewater paddling                  spot nearby, and camping is available at Beaver Creek Campground 2. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Hebgan Lake Mountain Inn, and there's tremendous hiking along the Lightning Creek Trail. There are other locations here than Hebgen Reservoir, for example Hebgen Lake; camping at Cabin Creek Campground is always a wonderful experience.
