While you're here at Hebgen Lake you can take a hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail, and Hebgen Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Cabin Creek Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. The warmest time of the year at Hebgen Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. Super 8 West Yellowstone is a pleasant
site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hebgen Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beaver Creek Campground 2. Not much precipitation falls here at Hebgen Lake; most of the rain falls through June,
and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Axolotl Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Hebgen Lake; of course Cabin Creek flows through this area.
