While you're here at Hebgen Lake you can take a hike along the Wapiti Creek Trail, and Hebgen Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Cabin Creek Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby. The warmest time of the year at Hebgen Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 40's. site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hebgen Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beaver Creek Campground 2. Not much precipitation falls here at Hebgen Lake; most of the rain falls through June,
and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Axolotl Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Hebgen Lake; of course Cabin Creek flows through this area.
