Many people like to go to Heather Lake. If you came to camp Blackmore Campground is a good location to do that, and you can go for a hike on the Red Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Fridley Lakes close to Heather Lake, and after a long day outdoors Bozeman - Days Inn is a fine spot to spend a night or two. If only every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Horseshoe Basin

| | is a good place, and paddling on Mulherin Creek is so much fun. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Heather Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Heather Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Palace Butte Campground is a good spot for that. The peak of Mount Chisholm can be seen from Heather Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Maid of the Mist Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Alpine Falls, and Comfort Inn Bozeman is a perfect place to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do close to Heather Lake. Heather
Lake is pretty dried up usually; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Whitewater paddling is great on Yellowstone River; everybody nearby loves skiing at Bridger Bowl. You'll locate
a beautiful lake called Emerald Lake near Heather Lake, and don't leave Heather Lake without first going for a hike along the Pole Gulch Trail.
