Heart Lake is located in the Absaroka Range. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Heart Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Heart Lake; Black Butte Trail is a tremendous local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little journey to East Fishtail Creek; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Stillwater       River. At Heart Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Heart Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Not much rain falls here at Heart Lake; most of the rain falls during May, and the driest month is February. Good hiking is available along the Bozeman Trail, and Red Lodge Mountain has great slopes                  and a friendly staff. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Having a fine time in the Absaroka Range is easy. Fishtail Butte is uncomplicated to spot from Heart Lake; Heart Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Grove Campground is a good local campground.
