Don't forget to take a great little spree to Bighorn Creek, and there's great hiking along the Landers Fork Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Heart Lake; most of the rain falls through May, and the driest month is February. Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a tremendous place to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Heart Lake; Lone Mountain Trail is a glorious local trail. This lake is one of the great places       here in the Lewis Range. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Lewis Range. The Red Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Snowbank Lake is just a very short distance away. If you came to camp Hooper Park Campground is a great spot to do that, and if you've had enough of Heart Lake, Webb Lake is close by. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place!                  The Lewis Range is unbeatable!. Heart Lake truly is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Falls Creek. There's so much to do here at Heart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Copper Creek Campground is a good location for that. Through the warmest time of the year at Heart Lake highs are commonly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's.
