During the summertime months highs here at Heart Lake get into the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. During the winter highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Heart Lake tend to be in the 10's. There are tremendous places to discover along the Red Mountain Trail; get covered with water paddling on Falls Creek. These mountains rock, just look       at all the enjoyable things to do in the Lewis Range. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Around Heart Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Lewis Range. There is a glorious hiking trail near Heart Lake called the Landers Fork Trail, and do visit Snowbank Lake, it's                  a pretty lake. Be careful coming to Heart Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you came for an overnight stay Copper Creek Campground is a great site to camp, and Hooper Park Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. Going for a hike on the Lone Mountain Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and Rodeway Inn Deer Lodge is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
