Summertime highs at Heart Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Heart Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. An average amount of rainfall falls at Heart Lake; most of the rain falls through June; the driest of the months is October. There's no way anybody can       get bored here in the Absaroka Range. Park Rapids is an inspiring site to explore while here, and lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Liver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Beartooth Lake Campground is always a tremendous experience, and whitewater paddling is great on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Heart Lake. While you're here at Heart Lake                  you can take a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Red Lodge Mountain. The Clay Butte Trail is a fine hiking trail near Heart Lake; there are other spots here than Heart Lake, for example Kidney Lake. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is abundant here in the Absaroka Range. If the weather is good here at Heart Lake, you can go for a hike along the Granite Loop Trail.
