Why not stop by Heart Lake if you're passing through these parts. All through the summer here at Heart Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Heart Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Kidney Lake is next to Heart Lake, and don't leave Heart Lake without first going for a hike along the Upper Granite Loop Trail. is a good spot to camp. This is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes. Ghost Lake is a lake close at hand, and a pleasant spot for whitewater paddling is Clarks Fork Yellowstone River.
Heart Lake is a good place of common
precipitation; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is October. So much fun stuff in the Absaroka Range, just unbelievable. Good hiking is available along the Granite Loop Trail. Life's too short
to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Absaroka Range. Top Of The World Campground is a fine campground nearby, and there's good hiking along the Clay Butte Trail.
