Going for a hike on the Prospect Shafts Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Red Lion Colonial Hotel. There is a perfect hiking trail close to Hauser Lake called the 1906 Trail; Quality Inn Airport is a great spot to get some rest. than one day, Lakeside Resort and Marina is a tremendous place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Near Hauser Lake you hit upon the Backside Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and Hauser Lake is close to Big Log
Gulch which is unquestionably worth a visit. Coulter Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Hauser Dam is not far at all from Hauser Lake. For the period of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Hauser
Lake while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hauser Lake descend into the 10's. At Hauser Lake you
don’t see much precipitation; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture.

From atop The Continental Divide several other mountain ranges, lakes, and valleys are displayed in vistas stretching for nearly 100 miles. Helena is just 23 miles and Great Falls only 95 miles via I-15 Exit #200. For a ''local'' ski area, Great Divide is enormous. Finding powder three days after a storm is not uncommon. The management's prominent signage stating ''DO NOT SKI ALONE....IF YOU BECOME INJURED OR ILL WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO FIND YOU'' Bears ominous testimony to the complex network of trails and the seemingly endless glades that coined the local phrase ''ski-all terrain''.
