A visit to Hauf Lake is always a good idea. The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. For the period of the warm months at Hauf Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Hauf Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is tremendous at Lost Trail; if you need a place to stay Angler's Lodge is a good choice.

This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Bitterroot Range, you might not ever want to return home again. An out of the ordinary thing to explore close to Hauf Lake is Hauf Lake Dam. There's so much
to do here at Hauf Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Riverside RV Park is a great spot for that. An average amount of precipitation falls at Hauf Lake; all through the month of January you get the most snow around here,
and July meanwhile is the driest month.
Stay the night at Blodgett Canyon Campground, and hiking along the Sweeney Ridge Trail is good fun.
