Hatchet Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Absaroka Range. Having a magnificent time in the Absaroka Range is painless. There's whitewater on Rosebud Creek - West for all you adrenaline junkies, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Lake Reno Trail. Camping at Crazy Creek Campground is always a nice experience, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Copeland

Having a magnificent time at Hatchet Lake is simple. While you're here at Hatchet Lake you can take a hike along the Crazy Mountain Trail, and the vista of beautiful Crazy Mountain is tremendous. Hatchet Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; all through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There
are some pleasant whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River; there are other sites here than Hatchet Lake, for example Anchor Lake. Hatchet Lake is one of the lakes here in the Absaroka Range. You'll never forgive yourself
if you don’t go skiing at Red Lodge Mountain while you're here, and Hatchet Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Creek Campground is a magnificent local campground.
