Go to Hatchet Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. The yearly rain here at Hatchet Lake is about average; most of the rain falls throughout June, and the driest month is October. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and hiking along the Lake Reno Trail is glorious fun. and Hatchet Lake is right by the Crazy Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hatchet Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Creek Campground, and do take a hike on the Copeland Lake Trail.
