You must positively dedicate some time to Blanchard Flats while you're here at Harpers Lake, and drift down the rapids of Blackfoot River in a kayak. Good hiking is available along the Blackfoot Divide Trail; Boyd Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Harpers Lake. For the duration of the summer highs here at Harpers Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer       temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows in the 0's for Harpers Lake. You truly have to adore Harpers Lake. The Dunham Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you came to camp Russell Gates Memorial Campground is a delightful location to do that. Harpers Lake is a location that is quite dried up mostly; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and                  the driest month of the year is July. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Harpers Lake; Pyramid Pass Trail is a delightful local trail, and Blanchard Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Harpers Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Salmon Lake Campground is a great location for that, and get dripping wet paddling on Blackfoot River.
