There's so much to do here at Halfmoon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Murray Bay Campground is a great site for that, and going for a hike on the Loneman Mountain Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is located in the wonderful Lewis Range. Paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork is so much fun, and there are nice places to explore along the Threetops Trail. All       year is a great time in the Lewis Range if you go for the outdoors. While you're here at Halfmoon Lake, you could also visit pretty Harrison Lake, and Loneman Mountain can be distinguished from Halfmoon Lake. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Halfmoon Lake reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. Throughout the winter the highs are usually in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Halfmoon Lake. Get                  wet paddling on Flathead River - Middle Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Grant Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stanton Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Halfmoon Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sprague Creek Campground is a fine local campground, and don't miss out on a journey to Glacier National Park since you're here. From a rain point of view Halfmoon Lake is a pretty normal spot; the month with most of the snow is December while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Halfmoon Lake.
