If you want a nice time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bitterroot Range. If you come at the right time of year, Big Sand Creek offers some delightful whitewater, and you can go for a hike on the Ward Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Lookout Lake is a lake that's close to Hackney Lake. This lake is so wonderful. South Fork Meadows is a nice place; why not camp       at Bear Creek Pass Campground since you're here at Hackney Lake. All the outdoors fun things next to Hackney Lake will keep you coming back persistently. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on White Sand Creek, and Schumaker Campground is a good local campground. During the months of summer at Hackney Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's                  while the cold winter nights at Hackney Lake are in the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Trapper Peak Trail, and charming scenery and nice skiing is what you obtain at Lost Trail. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Bitterroot Range.
