A nice place to camp here at Gullwing Reservoir is Camp Creek Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Detail Reservoir. All through the summertime highs here at Gullwing Reservoir reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Gullwing Reservoir dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is

| | so wonderful. Not far from Gullwing Reservoir, you'll stumble on Deep Reservoir which is a wonderful lake; there's pleasant hiking along the Wilder Trail. Camping is available at Buckhorn Store - cabins and RV Park, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Gullwing Reservoir; Skyline Trail is a wonderful local trail.
Not much rain falls here at Gullwing Reservoir; all through May this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. The Old Musselshell Trail offers hiking at its best. | |
