Do stop by Grouse Lake while you're in this part of Montana. High temperatures at Grouse Lake through the summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. So many enjoyable things in the Cabinet Mountains, just amazing. Good hiking is available along the Bear Creek Trail. for a hike along the Grouse Mountain Trail, and camping is available at Thompson Falls Campground. A delightful place to camp here at Grouse Lake is Willow Creek Campground, and do pop by Marmot Lakes, it's a wonderful lake. The
top of Cataract Peak is easily spotted from Grouse Lake; a glorious close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - St. Regis. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Cabinet Mountains. Grouse Lake is right next door to Miners Gulch
which is absolutely worth visiting, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Vermilion River.
