    Beautiful Greenough Lake has much to offer visitors. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Absaroka Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Greenough Lake; Custer National Forest Trail is a magnificent local trail, and at Greenough Lake you can observe Black Pyramid Mountain. All through the summertime highs here at Greenough Lake get into the 70's, and throughout summer nights  
   temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Greenough Lake tend to be in the 10's.
If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Red Lodge is a glorious choice; M-K Campground is a delightful local campground. The annual rainfall here at Greenough Lake is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. Yep, outdoors amusing
 
               stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Greenough Lake. Rock Creek is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to Greenough Lake; of course, this is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes, Rydberg Lake is a lake nearby.
These mountains rock, just check out all the fun things to do in the Absaroka Range. Really nice skiing awaits you at Red Lodge Mountain, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Twin Lakes is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Yodeler Motel. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and there's splendid hiking along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail.
Why not camp at Parkside Campground while you're here at Greenough Lake; let's not forget Grass Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here.
