Greenough Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Drift down the rapids of Clarks Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak, and you can never get enough of the nice skiing at Red Lodge Mountain. All year is a nice time in the Absaroka Range if you go for the outdoors. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Custer National Forest Trail; why not camp at M-K Campground since you're here at Greenough Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in

You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in the neighborhood of Greenough Lake has to offer. If you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Red Lodge is a delightful choice, and there's some flowing water close by, Grass Creek is a stream you can stop at while here. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Absaroka Range. Hiking is a popular thing to
do around Greenough Lake; Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail is a good local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Rock Creek is so much fun, and camping is available at Parkside Campground. The warmest time of the year
at Greenough Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while Greenough Lake night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.
