This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Greenough Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Parkside Campground is a fine site for that. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and if you came to camp M-K Campground is a pleasant location to do that. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Absaroka Range is unbeatable! Grass Creek is a perfect local stream;

| | there is a splendid hiking trail nearby called the Custer National Forest Trail. During the warm days of summer highs here at Greenough Lake reach the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Greenough Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Greenough Lake. Rock Creek is a great whitewater spot near Greenough Lake, and Comfort Inn Red
Lodge is a tremendous spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Red Lodge Mountain is right next door to Greenough Lake, and Greenough Lake is not the only place close by, Twin Lakes
is a close by lake. Here at Greenough Lake you can observe Black Pyramid Mountain, and if you've had enough of Greenough Lake, Rydberg Lake is nearby. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here
in the Absaroka Range. On a great day at Greenough Lake you can take a hike along the Beartooth Loop National Recreation Trail, and a fine nearby hotel is Yodeler Motel. This lake is located in the wonderful Absaroka Range.

Hunter Peak Campground
 | 18 miles away My family went camping at Hunter Peak Campground for many summers when I was a teenager. We stayed at the very large two family campsite, the deepest if I remember right next to the path taking you to the bridge. My grandparents now rest there forever and so do my memories of childhood.
