All the outdoors exciting things near Green Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Do visit Twin Lakes near Green Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and a magnificent place is Quaking Ash Hollow. Green Lake is a location that is quite waterless typically; during May this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. Sphinx Creek flows through this area, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Sportsman       Lake Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Green Lake has to offer, you can camp at Yankee Jim Campground and Picnic Area, and you'll locate a gorgeous lake called Yankee Jim Lake. During the warm months at Green Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Green Lake. This lake is so wonderful.                  After a long day outdoors Yellowstone Park North Travelodge is a delightful location to spend a night or two. Sphinx Mountain can be spotted from Green Lake, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Pole Gulch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Mammoth Hot Springs is a fine place to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on Yellowstone River.
