    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Montana you can check out Granite Lake. Man, is there lots of amusing things to do in the Absaroka Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and if you need a place to stay Cary Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Granite Loop Trail is pleasant fun; a great close by hotel is Big Moose Resort. This lake is so wonderful.
Float down the rapids of Clarks
 
   Fork Yellowstone River in a kayak; do take a hike on the Upper Granite Loop Trail. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Granite Lake; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Granite Lake has it all. There's so much to do here at Granite Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Creek Campground is a pleasant location  
               for that, and going for a hike along the Copeland Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
Summertime highs at Granite Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 30's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and night lows at Granite Lake during the wintertime usually drop into the 0's. The Absaroka Range scenery is always beautiful. If you came to camp Hunter Peak Campground is a perfect location to do that, and don't leave Granite Lake without first paying a visit to Park Rapids.
